From Shopify connection to your first reviewed improvement.
TaskerArmy is easiest to understand as a controlled delivery workflow, not an open-ended chatbot. Complete the steps in order so every later action has store context and a safe staging destination.
The fastest path to value is connect, audit, choose an outcome, review staging and make an explicit deployment decision.
Connect the Shopify store you are authorized to manage.
Start from the Connect Store flow or the TaskerArmy Shopify app. Confirm the shop domain and complete Shopify OAuth. TaskerArmy should never ask you to paste an Admin API token into a message.
Verify live-theme and staging readiness.
Open Stores and confirm that TaskerArmy detected the active theme and prepared or identified a staging theme. The live theme is the production reference; implementation work belongs in staging until deployment.
Run the baseline audit.
The baseline creates an initial store-health record and highlights suitable performance, SEO, accessibility, theme-quality and storefront findings. Review the report instead of treating the score as the final objective.
Choose one clear business outcome.
Start a session from a capability card, an audit finding or the connected store. Describe the result you want, where it should appear and any constraints the agent must preserve.
Review the proposed implementation visually.
When a changeset is ready, inspect the staging preview at desktop, tablet and mobile widths. Read the summary, verify the checklist and request changes when the implementation does not match your expectation.
Approve and deploy as separate decisions.
Approval records that the implementation matches the request but does not publish it. Deploy to live only after approval, or close the session without implementation when the proposal is no longer needed.

How long does onboarding take?
A straightforward store connection and baseline audit can be completed in one session, but timing depends on Shopify authorization, theme size and store accessibility.
What should my first task be?
Choose a bounded, visible outcome such as fixing one audit finding, correcting a theme issue or improving a specific product-page behavior.
Should I begin with a redesign or migration?
No. Large architecture, migrations and redesign programs require separate senior engineering scope and are not ideal first-session tasks.
When is onboarding complete?
The practical activation point is a connected store, completed baseline, safe staging workflow and first reviewable implementation—not merely creating an account.
Connect the store. Start with evidence.
Run the connected-store audit, review prioritized findings and decide which bounded engineering job should move to staging first.
