TaskerArmy uses Engineering Runs to represent qualifying product work. The app reserves capacity before execution, records final usage and keeps merchant billing inside Shopify.
Engineering Runs measure delivered analysis and implementation capacity while Shopify Billing handles merchant approval and app charges.
An Engineering Run represents bounded product work.
Runs can cover analysis or implementation activity according to task complexity. Ordinary navigation and every individual message are not presented as separate billable engineering outcomes.
Each plan includes a monthly Engineering Run allowance.
The Billing page shows plan name, used capacity, remaining capacity and reset timing. Internal database fields may retain legacy internal capacity field names, but public product language remains Engineering Runs.
TaskerArmy reserves enough capacity before starting qualifying work.
The reservation prevents concurrent activity from overspending the same balance. After the operation, the system finalizes the actual charge or releases the reservation on failure, interruption or a no-op outcome.
Run Packs add one-time capacity without changing the subscription plan.
Available pack sizes and prices appear in Billing. A pack purchase follows Shopify's one-time app-purchase confirmation and is added only after the authoritative billing event is verified.
The merchant approves app charges through Shopify.
TaskerArmy creates the applicable Shopify billing confirmation. The merchant reviews and accepts the charge in Shopify, and entitlement changes are reconciled against Shopify's authoritative state.
Review the plan before capacity reaches zero.
The dashboard warns as usage approaches the monthly limit. Upgrade, purchase a Run Pack or wait for the reset rather than starting work the current balance cannot safely reserve.

Does every message consume a Run?
No. Engineering Runs represent qualifying work outcomes and complexity, not each conversational message.
Why can a small task be refused when some capacity remains?
The system may reserve a safe worst-case amount before execution because the final complexity is not known until the turn completes.
Who charges my card?
TaskerArmy app charges are approved and collected through Shopify Billing and appear within the merchant's Shopify billing relationship.
What happens when work fails?
A properly failed, interrupted or no-op operation should release its reservation rather than retain a completed-work charge.
Are Run Packs subscriptions?
No. They are one-time Shopify app purchases that add capacity after confirmation.
