Do not implement the proposal—and keep the audit trail.
Use this outcome when the request is no longer relevant, the proposal is not worth revising or the business has chosen another approach. It is not the same as completing or deploying the work.
Closing without implementation records an honest abandoned outcome and leaves the live Shopify theme unchanged.
Close a session when the unpublished proposal should not move forward.
Typical reasons include a changed priority, duplicate request, rejected design direction, obsolete requirement or a decision to handle the work outside TaskerArmy.
Open the implementation review and choose Close without implementing.
Read the confirmation carefully. The action changes the session lifecycle to abandoned and records that the staged proposal was not selected for production.
The close action does not write to Shopify.
It does not deploy the changeset, edit the live theme, delete the live theme or reinterpret prior deployment history. The API reports that the live theme was not changed.
Conversation, changeset and review evidence remain available.
The abandoned session remains visible in Work lifecycle so the team can understand what was requested, what was prepared and why it did not proceed.
A session with published changes cannot be closed as unimplemented.
Published work cannot be closed as unimplemented. TaskerArmy rejects that contradiction: use the deployment and rollback history to describe work that reached production instead of overwriting it with an abandoned outcome.
Start a new session when the objective returns.
A fresh session ensures TaskerArmy inspects the current theme and creates a new scope. Do not assume an old staged proposal still matches the live store after other changes.

Connect the store. Start with evidence.
Run the connected-store audit, review prioritized findings and decide which bounded engineering job should move to staging first.
